Finally found a Federal Ordanance underfolder on the EE last week and I had a bit of a project in mind for it.

I already had one 10/22 so I went down to the local pawnshop and picked up another one in awesome shape for $100 even.
I'm going to have a bull barrel cut down to 11.5" and a 5.5" AR FS permenantly attached. I know this serves no locical purpose whatsoever but it will look dammed cool.

How should I go about channeling this stock for the larger barrel...Dremel?

You can use a wooden dowel to open up the barrel channel.
Start with 40/60 grit paper wrapped around the dowel, and when you get close to being done, switch to a fine grit like 100 and then 220.

Just pay attention to what you're doing, you don't want to end up with a angled channel... keep the dowel straight, and up/away from the rear sight area of the stock until you are using the fine sand paper.

Try searching for a guide at google or RFC. I'm sure you'll get a better guide from them.

(BTW, I posted the same thing in your thread in GD)

If you got it for $75-, you got a great price!  I think I paid like $125- for mine.

I paid $100 for mine. But it had a clean 5-digit '66 10/22 mounted in it at the time!

as stated i would use a dowel with sandpaper and slowing work the opening for the barrel.
is there a link to where i could find one of those setups?

How's the lock up & cheekweld?

It locks up real nice, the cheekweld isn't the greatest but it isn't that bad either.
