BSA sweet 17 scopes

Anybody using these. Would they be good out to 275 yards. Any durability problems or failures. Also what would the best set of rings be for these.

dont know about the scope or shooting out to 275yds.

but i can tell you that burris signature zees are some damn fine rings.

I had one on my .17HMR, but sold the rifle/scope package before I could test out the BDC.

I've got one on my Marlin 917 and it works great. No its not in the class of a Leupold but for under a $100 it works just fine. I've tried other BSA scopes and yes the're not so good but the Sweet 17performs fine for a rimfire. The BDC on the turret was right on at 200 yds which is sa high as it will go. I had a 4x12 but switched to a 6x18 because I needed more power. Both worked great.

+1...it's perfect for a 17HMR....

But if you feel the need to blow all your money on a scope that's worth 10 times the rifle....whatever.

I have one on my Savage .17 HMR rifle. It works quite well. I've only tried it between 100 to 150 yards but the BDC was right on.

Let me just say a little more. My comment above is based on experiences with BSA scopes. There are many scopes that do not cost more then your rifle that are way better quality then BSA.

Some have luck with them but they are to inconsistent in quality. You do not know what you are going to get.

Exactly.......I couldn't agree more. The BSA works great on my Ruger 77/17, the sight pic is clear, and the bdc adjustment is spot on. Buy one with no regrets....JMHO

I have a BSA Catseye on my AR. It works fine.

Not intended for CQB, but varmints real well. Illuminated reticule kicks ass.
