try it and find out. It is just a blowback gun. It isn't going to blow up. The way they get the velocity out of most of the hyper-velocity rounds is through a slightly slower burning powder, not more pressure. If it cycles hard, make up a buffer for it, although I don't think it would hurt it, it is an ORIGINAL AR-7. Maybe get a new spring, you might have to get one made.
