I am looking for diversity

I'm on the hunt for the ability to carry 3 SR25 mags or carry 3 (maybe 6) 5.56 mags depending on the gun I use for the day...

Looking for pointers.

Superior hand made gear that you can configure yourself. If Ranger Green is your color I have a 6 AR Mag one.

Are you looking for a chest rig/placard type deal or a belt mounted mag carrier?

I use the HSGI Taco for this application. Can hold 5.56 mags and then the bungie allows it to swallow AR10 Pmags as well.

I use Specter Gear Modular pouches on my chest rig. They are nicely made and can be had on eBay for cheap as they were apparently a military issue item and now surplus.

Here's an example on eBay

Specter claims they will fit 2 5.56 magazines and they may if you really stretch the elastic out, but 1 fits more comfortably. Also comfortably fits Lancer SR25 magazines which are bulkier than PMAGS.

Simple, inexpensive, tough as nails milsurp ALICE mag pouch.
If they have dividers you will have to cut them out (2 minute job)
They hold three 30 round 5.56 mags, or two 20 round 7.62 mags. Some of them are cut larger and will hold two 25 round 7.62 Pmags.

Probably HSGI Tacos if you are wanting them belt mounted or mounted to a chest rig or PC.

If you want super simple, a USGI bandoleer (or for that matter, any other surplus 2-3 round 5.56 mag carrier/pouch) in any of the assorted camouflage pattern can be exceptionally cheap.

6 GI 5.56 mags or 3 SR25 mags. Kinda tight on 25 round 7.62 pmags but the buttons still snap.

Spiritus just released precisely the solution for your problem, and it only costs a small fortune.

What carrier to you run? If you run the JPC 2.0 or AVS, I made these and have a few in multicam and a few in black that are run-overs from SOF/LE orders that I'm about to throw up on the EE. https://soldiersystems.net/2020/06/15/saber-solutions-multimag-flap-kit-for-avs-jpc-2-0-spc/

The universal mag pouches by Emdom can be loosened to fit 7.62 mags. They can easily hold (3) 5.56 mags. Also they can hold two 5.56 mags in each pocket, allow you to draw a single mag while retaining the second 5.56 mag securely. You don't need to change tension to run 1 or 2 per 5.56 mags per pouch but you need to loosen to run 7.62 mags and tighten to run 5.56 mags again, but it is a minimal amount.

The pouch also makes a great radio pouch if you have protected buttons the pouch pressure won't activate.

The downside? Money. They are expensive and only come as individual mag pouches, so no 3 pouch version to save money.
