Im looking for a chest rig/placard for 7.62. I don't have one,  Have a ranger rack, with gi flap pouches but, Id like something I can hook into my plate carrier.  Haley Heavy is on sale currently, I like the zipper pouches in the front. I can have my ranger finder, and Kestrel etc plus the four mags.  Still pricey.  Im also looking at the newest placard from spiritus systems.  It holds two 7.62 mags with the correct inserts and then you can add the expantion wing that holds two more on either side.  Pretty neat system. https://www.spiritussystems.com/micro-fight-chassis-mk-v/. https://www.spiritussystems.com/expander-wing-mk-2/

I haven't added it all up yet, that spirtius might be cheaper.  Help.

Yeah for 7.62 goodness you have to pay; most surplus is 5.56.  Also look at inserts by LBT, and VelSys.  Also Esstac, Ferro Concepts.  Maybe also Whiskey Two Four.

I would go with the Haley, I have spiritus mk4 and their plate carrier for work but to have a purpose built chest rig I rather have the haley, the pouches are better for retention and they have nice GP pouches. If you went the spiritus route get the thing and some JSTA pouches and you could do two center and each JSTA could hold another getting you to 4. I’m considering getting the enamel pie cobbler for my Haley rig to add radio and a Nalgene pouch. Spiritus is dropping a split rig I think they call it the 34 or something that is like two mk5 placards and you could do 6 556 mags, I’m not sure if it will hold 308

I have a really like my HSP D3CRM with 762 inserts.  The only aspect I'm not crazy about is the extra space.  It's not quite big enough for a pistol mag.  I might put a couple of chemlights in there.

Another option is the Esstac 7.62 Triple Daeodon Front Panel.

My 1st choice.

My second choice.

Chest rig for flexibility.

This is what I would be getting OP.

First choice placard because I could add to it / build it up as I needed / mission specific & keep it light & low profile.

The chest rig for when I need a ammunition carrier with the armour. And flexibility is always good.
