Just got a notification from Condor this morning that they're about to release their CORE SOFT SHELL VEST in a few weeks! Many of you are big fans of their Summit Soft Shell Jacket, and it looks like you'll get the same performance & value out of the Condor Core Softshell Vest. Below is the marketing literature from Condor:

"The Condor Core Vest was designed for daily use to keep your vitals warm during seasons and temperature transitions. The arm holes are cut lower than on the SUMMIT and the PHANTOM jackets so that you have more articulation and ventilation since you don't have any additional sleeve weight. It's made with softshell material to stop the wind, and equipped with pockets to carry your essentials.

- Two hand pockets
- One Chest Pocket
- One Inner Chest Pocket
- Drawstring waistband
- Full front YKK zipper with double zipper pull
- Micro Fleece lined interior

Sizes: S - XXL

Color: BLACK only

Notifications:
- Outer layer: 100% polyester 4-way stretch high density fabric with Teflon coating
- Mid layer: breathable film membrane
- Inner layer: 150 g/m² 100% polyester fleece

Care Instructions:
- NO Bleach, NO Iron, NO Dry Clean
- Liquid Detergent damages the water repellent treatment on the fleece.
Power Detergent is Ok, Treatment doesn’t last forever, so care is important
- Heat destroys the polyester fabric and makes it unwearable
- Wash inside out in low temperature
- Tumble dry in low heat"

Like it has been mentioned above, the only color option for now is BLACK, with sizing from Small to 2XL. Hopefully we'll see OD & Coyote Tan in the future, but I don't have any facts from Condor to go on there. We should have our first shipment in about 2 weeks, and expect that order to sell fast.

I don't have an ETA for other color options yet, but will ask my Condor rep & see if she has some info. Hopefully they are in the works for later this year or 2014.

Since this is a new item from Condor, there are some unknowns as far as fit, cut, etc. Will definitely update this thread once our order is delivered in the next 7-10 days.
