Not sure why, but I can't resist buying a couple when I see them. Sort of a catch-all pouch I guess for small stuff. Sorry I can't figure out how to embed pictures. I thought I would do a cheap project for collecting up small things in those pouches. Clear plastic fluorescent tube guard, 4 ft long = $3.57; 2 1.5 inch end caps from plumbing section = $.87 each.
With mandatory firearm:

For size, 4 M1911 magazines fit well, about 1.5 in by 2.5 in.

Materials:

Size comparison, the tube is about 5.5 inches long to allow for end caps. Adjust as needed.

Size check in the pouch before gluing the bottom end. Will mark the top opening end after painting.

Pouch closed and adjusted.

interesting. are those end caps the flexible kind of the hard kind?

I looked for the flexible ones, those happen to be stiff plastic. Either would work though.

hell yeah. ive kept this tube forever and couldnt figure out what to use it for. doh!

i just cut it down to fit the flashbang pouch. it was a tube that a BCG came in. prior to this i was using the bang pouch as a super small BOK, just quickclot and an izzy.

Fill it with whatever you want. Flash bang pouches are cheap and plentiful, but they don't hold small items that aren't flash bangs very well.

I use my banger pouch to carry an eTrex VistaC GPS with spare batts.

Lets see I use a flash bang pouch to hold my gps, another holds a radio and they also work great as a mag pouch. I can fit 2 40 cal pistol mags in one or 4 Ruger 22 mags.

They sell those tube premade in various sizes at Home depot in the tool section. Used for keeping small nuts and bolts. Color coded too.

I do recall seeing the Home Depot tubes, but wasn't sure if they fit (they are about 2 in by 4 in; I made mine longer to fit the pouch at 2 in by 5.5 to 6 in so it is easier to get in and out). I thought they also cost more than my little project on the cheap (pre-made for $2.38, mine is about $2). As far as what can go in, the idea was something to keep loose items together so they aren't lost, and I think the tube could easily be waterproofed. Otherwise, it was a good Tuesday afternoon project. Making more will cut the cost too.
