I have some Condor open-top mag pouches like these that are almost brand new:

I use Pmags and they fit very snug. The issues with I have is I think the bungee is a bit too short. They are kind of hard to manipulate, especially putting the mags in.

So, what say you? Should I just remove them? I'm worried the pouches over time and use will loosen and I will need the bungees. Or that the bungees will loosen up and it won't be an issue.

Or should I get new bungees and just give it some extra play? If that's the case, where do I get it?

Try leaving the cord on but not holding the mags in with it.

I usually just tuck the pull tab in one of the front MOLLE rows.
