Unless I've come down with a case of the 'tard, I can't for the life of me find a 'Post pics of your plate carrier setup' thread...? I searched with all my team powers but couldn't find one?

If there is none, I will post mine up and start one- or does anyone know where it went? I coulda sworn I've seen one?

ETA: Not talking about chest rigs, or 'gear' in general. I'm talking about strictly plate carriers.

ETA2: One other person can't find one either; so that must mean this is none! THIS IS NOW A PLATE CARRIER THREAD!

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Please BE SURE to post specs if you join in! Including Plates inside!

With chest rig attached:

Chest rig detached:

Velocity Systems LWPC in MC with two triple-curve plates by RMR tactical inside.

Chest rig is clipped on using the Velocity Systems 'Swift Clip' Attachment system. Chest rig is a TT mini-mav with a triple mag shingle, and two modded Eagle FB pistol mag pouches on each side (modded to fit double stack glock mags). Pouch in front is a MSM Admin pouch.

I LOVE this PC because I can not only have a chest rig attached, but also use it under clothing as a low-pro carrier.

Tried an LV119 today and just can't do it...too much pressure on my traps whereas my Warrior Assault Systems CPC feels great.

LV119 has ~6" of space between the two shoulder straps at their highest point.

WAS CPC has ~8".

On the lookout for a PC with at least 8" in this measurement. JPC looks like it's pretty wide...any others with widely-spaced shoulder straps? Plate bags would need to fit 10x12s.

Thanks. I am just being a cheap asshole lol.

Ended up dropping down to just the bare necessities.... LV119 front/rear, side armor bags, cummerbund. Will pair with a D3CRM Micro once inserts are available.

Appreciate it gents!

Quality is great. I found the shoulder straps to be a bit too close together on the 119 at only about a 6" gap. It works with the very low profile trifold covers, but if you try to run something a little more substantial and wide (e.g. HSGI shoulder pads) it doesn't leave a lot of room for your neck. YMMV based on build.

Skip The Mercenary Company, it's airsoft stuff.   BDS QR tube adapters work great, I used them to update my Beez cummerbund.

@AS556

Don't know if anyone ever answered the shears question, but Leatherman raptors are just about the best shears on the market. We use them on the medic and the engine for a reason. They are about the only shears that will easily cut turnout gear. They fold up to so the take up a minimum amount of real estate.

I finally read the actual sizing guidelines and upgraded to large SAPI Hesco places. Definitely add more coverage but I’m still able to shoot pistol and shoulder a rifle pretty easily.

Curious what your measurements are (not in a creepy way )?  I’ve been trying to decide between L & M SAPI.  I need the extra length of the L, but I’m worried about the extra .25” width interfering.  I’m running 10x12’s now.

I'm sure its been mentioned in this 145 page thread but the Shellback Tactical 3.0 Carrier has been a solid choice for my "heavy" loadout. Comes with the same Quick Release pull tabs and side armor capability as other brands noted above. Their Shoulder Straps have been fine at dealing with the weight distribution - I added a Defense Mechanisms 4 Mag Placard which are impressive IMO.
