Just a fluff thread and I am curious what you all picked up.

Kleen Canteen SS water bottle. Nothing fancy, only thing I really needed at the time.

joker,

I was looking at the fivefigers too, but ended up getting a new rain jacket.  I still think a pair would be great at the gym.

A Half Dome 2 and the matching footprint.

And in the trash went the heavy, old "Swiss Army" brand family tent from CostCo.

Columbia soft shell waterproof parka, because even with 2-% off an Arcteryx is still a $400 china made shower curtain. At least this way I don't have to pay for the pleasure of getting ripped off.

I was going to buy trekking poles, but didn't pull the trigger in time.  I'm still sitting on a rebate credit.  I figure they'll have one more good sale before Christmas.

They email you when you become a member.   I'm not kidding; I get emailed by REI about 5 times a week.  REI, REI Outlet, REI upcoming events, REI this, REI that...  But every once in a while there's a good one amongst the spam.   This was one of them.

Can't recommend the membership enough. The money I save one one purchase every year pays for the one time $20 fee I paid years ago to get in....

TNF Apex Bionic softshell, usually around $130, got it for $103 shipped. The only bad thing I can think of with REI is they use FedEx Smartpost which is the worst shipping option ever, but a North Face shell for a hundred bucks?

My SO got the same thing, for the same price. I'd been wanting to get her one for months. However, I think hers was shipped with USPS. It arrived our here in the boondocks when it was scheduled. Good luck with yours.

Look five posts above yours.

Coupon is expired and you have to be a member.

Edit: Picked up my purchase yesterday, a Patagonia Torrentshell jacket in alpha green to replace my old rain/wind jacket.
