About to order one but was wondering if its possible to load up 3 double ar mag pouches for a total of 6 mags on this little chest rig. Will that be too heavy for the mini-mav?

I picked up one in black from Blackstone tactical and I am running an eagle triple AR mag pouch (holds 6 mags) and a pistol mag pouch on each side of that.  No problems with the weight, the mini mav can handle it and it feels fine fully loaded.

You are good to go.

excellent. Do you have anything else strapped on or does it take up all the space? I might want to squeeze those two pistol mag pouches on there.

if you go through the gear porn thread, around page 70 i think, there is a picture of a mini-mav, loaded out for an ak. the guy was running an hsgi dual UMMP (holds up to 6 m4 mags), a emdom 3o2 pistol pouch on the right side and a hsgi Bleeder pouch on the left. it was sex on nylon....

That's the picture that sealed the deal for me.

With the pistol mag pouches and the eagle triple M4 pouch, that fills it up.  It has a surprising amount of real estate though, if you shuffled things around you can cram a pretty good amount on it.

I ordered one from blackstone too.

I'm just putting on 2 fast mags upside down.

want to try them out on an ultra KISS setup.

That should be sweet.  Can't go wrong with the mini mav.  Charles from Blackstone sent me some photos of his mini mav set up for a sub gun and it was great.  I use mine with two TT MP5 pouches in place of the M4 triple sometimes and it's outstanding.

here's one to stump the collective....

will the xharness work with the minimav?

Webbing on the X-harness is wider than the mini-mav attachement points.  Perhaps with some....modification...:)

The problem is, running the x harness on the mini mav kindof defeats the purpose.  It would be better suited in a regular mav.  The mini mav is just that, mini.  Here's my set up, for 9mm carbine mags.  Got mine from Blackstone also!

i've got a ton of love for the mini MAV. i'm no pro operator––-just trying to defend myself and get out of the way.

i'm working on v. 2.0 in black with the HSGI bungee UMP.  not sure i like the maxpedition pouch. i can't find the TT e&e pouch in black,
so i may go with the HSGI bleeder pouch.  i've got 6 HK 556 mags in there. i'm 6ft 165lbs. not heavy at all, wears just fine. but i like running 4 Bulgy waffle ak mags
in there instead. its for light, night fighting scenarios.

light, simple, fast.

so a 8" pouch would hang off pretty bad huh?

I have a TT Mini Mav and love it. I only have a 3x20 round PMag shingle on it, for use as a grab and go/fight rig, but the size is perfect.

The 9mm pouches are Emdom 6o4's.
