LA Police gear is running asale on the 5.11 boots.  a 6'' strike for $49.99.  I am in the market for a 6" boot.  My last pair was the Danner GTX.  Great boot but twice the cost as these.  anyone have anything good or bad to say about 5.11 boots?????
