I like the Oakley Assault goggles, if not the ESS NVG ones are good too.

i prefer the ess nvg's. fits under a reg. k-pot.
i can utilize them with my pvs-7. and there is a guy who sells them for a good price here on the e.e.
i think his screen name is clint707 i think. oakley's in sungalssaes i like, very much.
i have a pair of oakley goggles, but dont fit as well as the ess nvg's in relation to helmet .
maybe the new oaks are better fititing.

T-800's rock, pretty much the only brand I have tried that you actually forget they are there.  Simply the best peripheral vision there is.  However, due to the open design, I do not think they would do too well in a sandstorm.

I have not tried the ESS NVG's but as a whole I have liked there other designs, and pretty cost effective to boot.

I can't get any thing to keep from fogging even my expensive Oakleys unless I'm shooting on steel many times I look over my glasses to shoot if on a supervised range. But just today I was shooting suppressed stuff and got a face full of blowback what do yall do to get the fogging down it seems every damn thing fogs up, even the good stuff!

Will the T-800s work well when shooting through high magnification optics?  I need something that can hold perscription inserts and is suitable for scoped shooting.

Quoted:
Hi Corporal_Chaos,
"Work well" is a relative term...  The T-800s with RX inserts will work, but not as nicely as regular prescription glasses.  The T-800 has an optically nice 2.2mm lens, but then again, it is a 2.2mm lens.  It's made more for protecting your vision than enhancing it.  If you really had to go with protective eyewear with an RX insert, I'd recommend looking at the Bolle SES system with the RX insert, or the Oakley M frames.  Those will probably give you better optical clarity, and be more comfortable to boot.

SKD, I don't want to jack this thread, but I gotta ask you to do me a favor.  Could you email or IM me with the design specs on each of the above mentioned systems?  Also, if you could link me with pics and prices in the email or IM so I could see exactly what type of design they are I would really appreciate.

Thanks.
