Yowch.

The only way it could bite the hand that feeds it more efficiently is for Benelli to sharpen the shell carrier prior to installation.

My Montefeltro 20 doesn't bite like the M2.  What gives, Benelli?  Is this problem limited to the M2?

I replaced the OEM part with a Taran Tactical Carrier and the difference is startling.

Good question and not the first time it has been asked (and its not just the M2. Other models and brands often have that forked tongue designed shell carrier).

Conventional thinking is that the designers think the carrier need the groove to center the shell  in the action for feeding (and that's the way they've always made them), but as we've seen from countless welded up carriers that aint the case.

I'm convinced most gun designers don't shoot much. I may be wrong but that Benelli designer hasn't been stabbed by his fork enough! When they do shoot I bet its very Fudd like.
