I don't know an exact date, but I've seen them since the mid-1980's, at least.

From my research, it appears it was introduced in 1976. The first reference I find mentioning it is this 1976 LE Products supplement. The stock first appeared on film the same year in The Enforcer starring Clint Eastwood. It is not in the 1975 catalog (which mentions other Police models), although it's not in the 1976 catalog either, so I cannot confirm there wasn't an earlier LE supplement. A guy here says he bought one in 1976, but no mention if that was the debut year.

Well thank you, sir, but unfortunately (or not
) my resource is just Google! lol  I remembered IMFDB always lists years and, sure enough, they happened to have a section for this configuration... |
