I have one serious shotgun but want to build/complete some more, just want to see if it would considered part of the tin foil hat crowd to have more than one???
I have three.....A Mossberg 835, Mossberg 590A1 and a Benelli M1-Super 90.....
two is one
ya need more ETA: 1 Win 97 1 Rem 870 2 Ithaca 37's ...may be buying a Win 1300 soon |
One- a Winchester 1300 Defender.
It could use a bit of choke constriction in the barrel but it patterns OO buck well. I have had a number of 1200/1300 Winchesters over the years and I strongly prefer them over either the Remington or Mossberg shotguns. |
depends on your need. If you just want to have them to shoot them then that is cool also. However, these are tools for me. I have one by my bed, one near the entrance to my home, one in the gun shop and one in a location that is known only to me. I feel this fits my needs so that is how many HD shotguns I have.

I have one by my bed, one near the entrance to my home, one in the gun shop and one in a location that is known only to me. I feel this fits my needs so that is how many HD shotguns I have. It's important to make the distinction between a fun gun, and a serious HD weapon. With that said I own a KISS 870P, a 590A1 SPX, and a Benelli M4. Although, I'm dumping my 590A1 since I don't like the balance, and the 590A1 SPX's sights are too high for me. I guess you 870 fan boys were right after all. |
Had a mossberg 500. sold it though. Realized I fucking hate shotguns. Thankfully, I hadn't tacticooled it up first. I just don't see a need for on, personally
Remy 870,,,Moss 500 w/pistol grip,,,Ithaca 37
I have a few, they work well. |
I bought one of the Berettas 1200fp, I didn't have the heart to butcher my wingmaster
Four out of six of my shotguns are "social". One of the remaining two is a 20" sxs so I suppose you could call it "cowboy social".
Only one shotgun..
Looking into getting a Serbu super shorty though... |
One, 870 Police Wingmaster 18" barrel. Someday I might pick up a Coach gun.
Benelli M4, FN SLP Mark I, Converted Saiga-12 plus 3 drums.
(I ain't messin' around here !) |
more then enough to go around
2 870s with 18 inch barrels, rifle sights and mag extensions. 1 Benelli M1 Super 90 w/ ghost rings and a full mag tube 1 Benelli Nova w/ Ghost rings 1 Ithaca 37 w/ 18 inch barrel and pistol grip 1 Ithaca 37 w/ 20 inch barrel and rifle sights(DS) 1 Hi Standard riot gun 1 Fabarm not sure of the model but it has wood furniture and a full mag tube. 8 Social Scatterguns in total... I think I will get rid of one of the 870s and replace it with another Benelli. Besides the 870s and the Benellis, I have them cause I think they are cool and when a cool one comes by for $250 it's hard not to take it home! |
Just one so far...my Benelli M4. I don't think I'll need to purchase another though. I may pick up and convert a Saiga-12 just because I'm an AK fan...

A few
870 Super Mag 23-inch project (close to being done, got on a kick reading about Marines in WWII armed with shotguns fighting the Japanese in the south Pacific, kinda had this project in the back of my head when I found a great deal on the gun) 870 Super Mag 19-inch project (got this when I was in skool years ago, great shotgun, just want/need to upgrade it a bit) 870 USMC Mk 1 project (just a cool gun to add to the collection, tough clone to build, the USMC 870 Mk1 had some rare parts on it, mine won't be perfect, but I'll get it as close as I can) 870 USN project (another fun one, easier to clone than the Mk 1, but still need that particular bayonet mount) 870 SBS ("Stumpy" wears an 11-inch barrel at the moment, looking for a factory rifle-sighted 14-incher. Will do a helluva job on rattle snakes at 10-feet) 870 P (has a Wilson extension, 18-inch bead sight CYL barrel and lives by the bed) Ithaca Model 37 DSPS (wanting to SBS this some day too) Winchester Model 42 (dad bought this for me when I was a wee little critter, got my first (and only) pheasant with it when I was 12) |
I wear a tinfoil hat, and have eight shotguns, five 870's, SLP, Benelli M1, and a Winchester 1400. I won't pass up an 870 deal, and Still have a few more on the list too, semi-auto folders, Ithacas, maybe a Saiga, and a couple home brews when I get my machine set up.
One 870 Super Magnum with two barrels. One 26" and one 18.75". Suits my purposes fine, but I want to get another Super Magnum to make a dedicated HD gun.

Many are "riot" shotguns, but I love shot barrel high cap shotguns for bird hunting. I also like side by side double guns so I have a few old timers in the safe too. |

I have a FN SLP Mk1, FN TPS, FN SLP, Benelli M3,M2, Supernova tactical, M4, Rem. 870 3 of em, and 2 Mossberg 590's. I think that is all of my HD/combat shotguns off the top of my head. |
3 right now but if I ever find a mag extention for my 10ga Browning BPS I'll have 4 and be happier than a pig in slop. If I didn't get laid off I'd have made one but I don't have access to a lathe right now.
I have three.
