Ive been toying around with the idea to turn my 30" full choke vent rib barrel 1100 into a 3 gun setup. maybe a 21 or 22" barrel screwed for chokes. it still has nice wood that im planning on leaving, so Im not sure if i should duracoat the gun, but if i do itd likely be matte black. or should i sand the wood down and refinish it in the russian red color; should look pretty good with a duracoat. any suggestions?
Also, what do you think im going to spend on this project?
-ill have the barrel cut down and threaded for chokes
-mag tube extension +4 or 6
-new bolt handle
-speedloader<- need more info on this

what are we looking at here? anyone have pics of a similar project?

I was originally going to do the exact same thing as you want to do. I ended-up just buying the TAC-4.

I fugging hate my mag tube clamp.  I am trying to find a way to move my sling attachment points closer to the receiver.  I also want to upgrade to ghost ring sight and a pistol grip.

How do you like your Tac 4? I ordered one from Bud's last week, though it still hasn't been shipped.

I freaking LOVE it! I own 8 shotguns and it is BY FAR my favorite. I added the big carrier release from Dave's Metal Works, a new Remington SuperCell recoil pad and a Vang domed safety button... Now it's perfect!

I've run everything from the cheap Walmart value pack stuff to full-house slugs in it without issue. My favorite thing is to do speed drills with racks of steel plates.

But the best part of the whole thing is that the cheap, beater 1100 I bought to convert has taken on a whole different life of its own now.
