another option, i guess, would be to replace the KSW with an actuall tube and forend, but i bought it with the KSW attached (no tube or forend) and i dont know were to get a tube and forend for a mossberg 500 or maverick 88(i guess there the same damn thinghat

Keep it, change the stock and maybe barrel....make it a bit more useful for your application.  The Sidewinder kit is rare enough that you will miss it once its gone.

I used to have the same stock, took it off for a Knoxx ....much happier!

+1. The ATI has all the cheek-slap of the Knoxx, without the recoil-reduction.
