Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 870 sportsmans barrel change

A friend of mine has a 870 sportsman and wants to switch out the barrel to a 20" slug to use for Law Enforcement.  The question I have is if the sportsman can take any standard 870 barrel or do you have to get one specific for that model?

It should swap out with any 870 barrel - excluding LC barrels, no problem...
