Does anyone know exactly what the difference is in a forend that will fit on a 2 3/4 slide extension tube vs. a 6 1/4 inch tube?  I like the looks of a particular one that was made for a 2 3/4 tube, but my shotgun has the larger one.  Anyone know if these could be easily made compatible if they aren't already?  It seems like the one for the shorter extension tube would need to have some wood removed to make it fit on the longer extension.  Since it will be purchased over the internet I don't have the ability to hold them both and compare.  Thanks!

I asked the same Q and like you, got no replys. I'm convinced that you can make the shorter grip fit if you make a sleeve out of the correct size tubing, but you may have trouble finding exactly the right size, to fit over the tube.
