Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Q about different front grip sizes on Win. 1300s

I guess they have different size "tubes" for the grip to mount on, so the grip I want is only available in the short "youth" size. Has anyone ever shimmed it up to fit the longer tube? I would think if I found the right tubing I could do it pretty easy.
