I'm thinking of replacing the stock fore end on my 870 with a Surefire M69 railed fore end.

I came up with a few advantages:
- I could put the light on another weapon.
- I could remove the light if I don't need it.
- If a light breaks, I could easily replace it.

Some disadvantages:
- I need rail protectors of some sort.

Can anyone come up with some advantages and disadvantages?

How much does the M69 wobble?

I'd hit it if i wasent too cheap... as of right now i'm thinking of just taking my orginal forend and throwing a coupple of 1913 rails on it ..

with the forend you mentioned though i doubt there would be much of a problem with one... but then i am just arm chair comandoing this one and have no first hand experance...
