Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - WTK: Franchi 912

My mother-in-law just won a Franchi 912 shotgun in a fundraising lottery.  She isn't a gun person and wants to know if I want the gun.  Well, it goes 'bang', so I'm all over it.  The problem is that I'm not much of a shotgun shooter, doing everything with my 3" 870.  I don't know anything about the 3.5" Franchi.

Is this a decent gun?  What would a decent "retail" value be for a NIB gun?  (I'll probably end up trading this towards something I really want...)  Anything I should know?

Gas operated hunting shotgun. 700 to 800 dollars depending on model. If you hunt turkey, ducks or geese this is a great shotgun. MIKE.
