Bonnie Parker had three or four 20ga. M11's cut down for her at various times over the years...she called them her "killing guns". Henderson Jordan, (Uncle of Bill Jordan, USBP) Sheriff of Bienville Parrish in LA. where she and Clyde Barrow were killed, used a M11 loaded with #00 Buck when he and Texas Ranger Frank Hamer stepped out into the middle of the road on that May morning in 1934 near Gibland and Plain Dealing, Louisana. Hamer's words? "Stick 'em up!"
167 rounds later, Bonnie was dead, with a 20ga. M11 under her leg...Clyde with a Winchester M1887 lever action 10 ga. sawed off...inventory was as follows...
"Inside the car, Hamer found the following: 1 saxophone, 3 Browning automatic rifles, 1 10 gauge Winchester lever action, sawed-off shotgun, 1 20 gauge sawed-off shotgun, 1 Colt 32 caliber automatic, 1 Colt 45 caliber revolver, 7 Colt automatic pistols, and approximately 3,000 rounds of ammunition. They found license plates from Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Texas, Indiana, Kansas, Ohio and Louisiana."
Good Riddance to bad trash!
Yep...those old M11's served well on BOTH sides of the law!
