I recently got into skeet shooting, and would like a cheap (used is fine) semi-auto 12ga.

What would you gentlemen suggest?

I was shooting a beretta 391 Urika i believe, and loved it... but the price was way to high for me at this time.

What kind of a budget are you working with?

Buy a used Auto 5. They aren't being made anymore and are beautiful shotguns. Also a piece of history.

For under 500 I would also recommend a used 1100 but an 1187 I would stay away from for the clay games, they have issues with real light loads not cycling 100%.

I know a few guys with Stoeger 2000's and they have ran and fed 100% so far. I know alot of folks do not like them but from 1st hand experience I have seen very good things.

Just my opinions of course.

I am one of the guys with a Stoeger 2000, it is a good gun and cheap (I got mine for about $235, but I got a deal when I bought it because I work at a place that sells em)

I know three guys I work with that have them and have not had any problems shooing clay/light loads with them and nor have I.
