Opinions from people who own it? I have the mossberg 590w/ghost ring sights and need to be able to get close to the rear sight. I also want something that can collapse as good as my M4 stock.

I was looking at that new Knoxx M4 style stock that is coming out soon and it seemed like it wasnt short enough for me to get close to the rear sight.

Just installed one on my 500A. Fit is excellent.  Rather than use the stock (included) A2 pistol grip I installed the Magpul MIAD grip (mainly to house a couple spare batteries for my Surefire forend). Initial impression - very nice upgrade. I will post a range review in the next couple of days as to any increase in felt recoil etc.

Just a note - the included pistol grip mounting screw was a bit long for the MIAD to mount - a quick trip to the hardware store for a 1/4 inch shorter (or perhaps a bit of filing on the inclded screw) will make short work of this problem - I went the hardware store route...not sure if this is an issue w/ other aftermarket grips, but just my warning if you are planning on something other than included grip. Threads are different than standard AR grip screw by the way.

Great product all in all...

Is the stock short enough to get your face up to the rear sight? (if you had one)

AND

Do you need to take the stock off to field strip the shotgun? If so, how many different tools does it take?

Yes, the stock  would be short enough to get up on the rear sight. Stripping the trigger group from the receiver requires removal of the stock. Tools required are AR-15 collapsible stock wrench and flathead screwdriver.

ACE stock adapter is great. All accesories ordered for my mossy received on Friday and everything installed on Saturday morning. The only situation that was little hard was removing material from mag tube seat with the cutting tool suplied to line it up with receiver, after that assembly of the sidewinder was pretty easy. Then I mounted the ACE stock adapter, RRA 6-pos. stock and A2 pistol grip. Enjoy the pics.

OK I finally got it! Basically...it was worth every penny. It can go very compact to allow me to clear the house while letting me get close to my ghost ring sights. Shouldering is lightning quick and feels great. Haven't shot it yet so I can't comment on the recoil. Note that the rubber but pad that it comes with is very thin and is really only for traction rather than padding.

And just for shits and giggles...What you will see if you come for an uninvited visit. fyi-65 lumen surefire
