As I recall, you can't extend a Mossberg gun unless you also buy a new barrel.
If you buy a barrel set up for a larger magazine capacity, you only have to buy a longer tube and spring. In other words, there IS no "extension" magazine for the Mossberg. |

The 590 & 835 pump use a different style barrel than the 500. In theory a mag extension could be made for the 590 since it uses a Remington style open ended mag tube with external threads. The Mossberg 5500 & 9200 have mag extensions available, maybe a Choate extension for the semi Mossy would work on a 590.

On this subject, anyone know of a good source for Mossberg 20" barrels and the 8shot mag tube that goes with them?
