guys do they even make such a critter? i thought i heard somewhere that mossberg made some but i cant find them anywhere.

I believe the 590A1 uses a metal trigger guard.  I don't remember if it's steel or aluminum.

The 590 A1 does have a metal trigger guard and it is non-magnetic.
Probably aluminum.

Brownell's used to carry them but I haven't seen it their latest catalog.
