usually the model number beyond the 500A is not on the gun, usually on the shipping carton.
might want to check the mossy sight and look for one configured like yours. |

I thought it was on the bottom of the receiver, right before the mag tube.

That's where mine's at. Although is dosen't state the specific model it does say: 590 12 GA. |

Hmm I was looking for a serial number not the model number. There must be one on the reciever somewhere. I will email Moss.
