Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ghost Rings??????????

I have a mossy, and considered putting Ghost rings on it, and understand they would have to be installed by a smith. What about Remington? How do those mount? Do they require smithing?

You don't necessarily need a smith to put ghost rings on a Mossy.  The MMC ghost rings (I bought mine from Brownells) don't require anything more difficult than drilling and tapping a couple of holes in the top of the receiver.
