Not very hard at all. Just knock out the trigger group pins and add the screws that come with the sidesaddle. Screw the screws into the sidesadddle, but not too tight! Too tight and it will bind up the actionbars. Off you go with a sidesaddle.

You will have to replace or modify your forend. The stock forend is too long and interferes with the sidesaddle when you try to pump it.

The 4 round sidesaddle does not interfere with the action.

I have a Surefire forend on the 870. Would it be better just to use the 4 round saddle?

The Surefire forend is shorter than the original Remy forend. You will have no problems using a 6 shot sidesaddle with the Surefire. I have a 6shot sidesaddle on my 870 with the Surefire forend.

Surefire forend will work just fine.
Only some of the stock forrnds had to be moded. The ones that need to be cut will hang over the recever when the pump is all the way back. NoKarma |
