I'd really like to get a remington factory folding stock finished to match the marine magnum, but I don't want a hack job that doesn't match, or worse, peels.

And yes... I called Remington, and was told it was proprietary information.

Thanks in advance for any help or recommendations...   Brian

This is only speculation based on one conversation 3 years ago.  It is/was Klein Plating in Erie, Pa.   I was interested in getting a SIG redone and Klein was a sub-contractor for SIG.  When I called them they asked first if I had a SIG or Remington so they would give me the right department/armoror when I told them I had a firearm to refinish.  I know for a fact that SIG no longer uses them due to overplating of slides causing FTE/FTF between the slide and barrel.  Hope that was some light.  I personally recommend Metocol III from Arizona response systems.  He can match almost anything.
