I finally got to the range with my new S&W K22 Combat Masterpiece. It is a 4-inch Model 18-3. My best group at ten yards was 2inch wide by 1inch tall. The revolver is easily capable of 1inch groups I just need to do better. The thing I found interesting is that on average I was as accurate shooting DA as I was shooting SA. It has a very smooth DA trigger pull.

The larger grips were perfect.

Next on the list is a Model 19 to take with the 18 to the range.

Nice gun, I prefer larger grips as well. The K22s are nice but I've never really gotten into S&W. The one gun that I really want from S&W is the .22lr single shot break top.

Can you get a .22 mag cylinder for that?    I'd like to get a .22 revolver but I want one with both cylinders.

I think you're limited to the Ruger Single Six, if you want both in one.

(Worse yet, I was on the S&W website yesterday and discovered the 648 is no longer in their lineup.)
I figured it was a more common thing.

I have a Heritage Rough Rider that will shoot 22lr or 22 mag. I got mine brand new in the box for $119. Not the greatest gun in the world, but it is an OK shooter. Here's a link for one on auction arms. Looks like they have gone up a little in price, but still not expensive at $170

I love my M18 (don't recall the dash number). It shoots great, better than my buddies M17 8 3/8". I put bigger grips on as well. Mine has a wonderful DA trigger, the best of all of my S&Ws.
Congrats.

That's a great 22 you have! Smith K22s are awesome. The only one I have is a 4" M617. I'd like to have more...
