I would like to pick up a 1911 in 9mm. I dont know much of anything about this particular gun as i am used to the .45 and have little to no knowledge about the 9mm. I would like some suggestions as to what i should look at.  All suggestions will be helpful.

thanks all.

Check out Springfield.  I have had one for about 6 years and it is a really nice shooter.  Very reliable and accurate.

Ramped barrel is a plus, but if built right not needed.

I recently bought an old used colt and had it sent out for smithing- ended up just a few hundred bucks more than the Springfield- but prefer guns made in USA as opposed to springfields brazil
