Which Jerry Kuhnhausen book

I see there are a couple 1911 books he did.
Is one better than the other?

Several people have told me I need to have one of his books around now I just need to figure out which one.

Volume 1 has pictures and text describing various 1911 smithing procedures. If you're going to start with one volume, I suggest that you start with Volume 1. Volume II, as noted, compliments Volume 1, but contains more drawings and schematics and less text. The drawings are nice to have for reference, but stick with V 1 for a first read.

I am sure i will end up with both but I need to pace myself.

I have to wait a while to get the first one anyway. Or else it will end up in a pile with the other ones.
