I have always been well served with Colts, and they have generally stayed away from egregious nonsense like external extractors.

I just wanted to play devil's advocate. You price out how much that will cost? Granted you get everything you want but you might consider some good production guns. Springfield TRP comes to mind. Just saying.

Point taken - I have looked at "some" production guns and I have not found exactly what I want. However, I have not gone to the point of pricing what I would want done on a production gun that had some of the attributes that I want. Will have to do that. |

Springfield GI..........I stepped this one up with a host of Brown and Wilson parts, Essex Enhanced slide, Fusion ramped barrel in 9mm para and had the entire piece bead blasted..........Genuine Novak sights and Houge grips...............it is by far my favorite 1911...........a dream to shoot, rock solid reliable and feeds anything.........from lead roundnose to hollowpoint................
