I know SA dosn't make the full rail 1911 (operator) anymore as a production version. Someone told me that they can be bought as a custom pistol though. Can anyone confirm or deny??

Not sure, but I have both the Springfield original full rail Loaded Operator, and recently acquired a Les Baer Monolith, and if you're willing to spend the extra cheddar, the Monolith is pretty close in terms of looks.  I wouldn't be surprised if the Springfield Custom Shop takes orders for full rail guns - they seem pretty accommodating to custom orders within reason.
