Neither.  If I had to pick... one piece.  Have had the 2 piece ones unscrew sometimes while firing.

I like the GI setup.  My Professional, GRP and CQB came that way.  Guide rods are a waste of weight and money IMO.

Yup.  All of my 1911s have short/USGI guide rods.  I'm nowhere near a high-enough level shooter to appreciate the extra weight of a heavy FLGR.
