I have been looking around here, 1911forum and m1911 and the only suggestions I have seen to look for slides are at Brownell's. Does any one else have a source for new or at least less crappy slides that what Sarco sells.

There are lots of places that sell slides. It also depends on what you are wanting out of the slide. Such as, National match, or standard or used like WWII surplus. Caspain is one of the major manufacturers along with others like STI. To find surplus or used you can look in the Equipment Exchange here and as a last resort Ebay or any of the online auctions.

Wow, thanks a lot Drew, I think I will be ordering from Fusion, I didn't think I could find parts to build a 10mm, but they have them.
