I just got a trigger job done on my 1911 and plan to pick it up tomorrowNow I'm looking at getting a different quide rod to help reduce some recoil.  I'm thinking about the Sprinco USA guide rod. LINK I was wondering if anyone has anyone has any experience with this one at all. or if someone has experience with something that they think would be better.

Put an 18.5 lb recoil spring in there and also change it to USGI plug and plunger.

A guide rod that will reduce recoil is the EGW tungsten guide rod.

I dont like 2 peice guide rods they always seen to loosen.

go with a std GI plug or a one peice guide rod.
