Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - 1911 .22 conversion mag compatibility?

Ive got a EAA conversion but can't find a reasonable source for mags , i.e $40 ea from EAA or 2/$50 . I see the Advantage Arms mags for $16 ea. and thought I'd try those but thought I'd ask and see if anyone has ever used different brands of mags with their conversions?
