Hello, everyone.  Just wanted to ask the opinions of others who have or have had work done by either.  I have narrowed it down to these two.  I plan on having three things doen and either shop should be capable.
1.  Install match barrel and bushing
2.  Perform reliability job.
3.  Install 3 dot Novak sights.

I have a SA TRP with Novak sights already mounted, so no dovetail cutting will be required.  The night sights on my TRP are getting old and dim, and the damn thing shoots about 4" low at 25 yards (typical SA problem) so I want to replace them with plain 3 dot Novaks and get the elevation POA/POI corrected as well.  The stock barrel stands on the link a bit and has too much play when pushing down on the barrel hood during lock up, and way too much play between the lower barrel locking lugs and the frame.  I am looking for it to be capable of shooting in the area of 1" to 2" groups at 25 yards with a good match barrel and bushing.  Right now it can do about 3" at 25yds  at best.  
So what is everyones opinions of these to shops?  Who does the best accuracy and reliability work?  Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Both have great reputations, and a long waiting list.

Virgil Tripp does excellent work and his turn around time is very good. he can do anything you ask...

You really can't go wrong with any of the names mentioned.

I've had EGW work on two guns, and was very satisfied.

Might want to ask what the expected turnaround time is.

Either one will do excellent work, as would a number of other custom pistolsmiths.  

Thanks, guys.  Anyone else have any suggestions.  Also, can anyone estimate how much mechanical accuracy I can get from a Barsto (spelling) match barrel, and will it still be reliable?

I used to send all my 1911's and my BHP to Novak, and I was very pleased with their work.  No complaints here.  But the 1911 specialist who did all my work passed away a few years ago in a motorcycle accident.  RIP Joe Bonar.

That is sad to hear.  I think I am leaning toward Novak, are there still good 1911 smiths there?
