I am thinking about adding another S.A. to my gun collection and  I just want a beater/camp gun. Which would you guys recommend. I already own a Springfield "Loaded" S/S 5in brl. and it is one of the finest 1911's I've ever shot, let alone own. Now I want another to make it a pair of S.A.'s.  Is the Mil-Spec worth the extra money over the GI model? Your opinions ,please!

I had the GI basic model, it was nice and simple. It is a heavy gun that is why I went with the Champion Lightweight. ITs a smaller lighter gun w/ nite sites. Ya cant really go wrong with any SA (I dont know anything about their micros, but the full size ones work well)
