Since you guys all heard me bitch about that Llama last week I thought I'd show you something nice for a change this Sunday.  Yesterday a repeat customer who is quickly becoming a good friend came into the shop and I asked him how his Colt 1991 was holding up.  This 1991 was a parkerized model, and he had bought it for a carry piece but found that the parkerizing didn't hold up well.  It had started to rust quickly with regular carry, and he didn't enjoy shooting the gun either since he has very large hands and the hammer bite was just unbearable.  So I installed a Wilson beavertail (a fitted one, not a drop-in), refinished the gun in Norrell's semi-gloss, and cleaned up the trigger while I had it all apart anyway.  Anyway, I had forgotten to take pics of the gun after I was done but it turned out he had it on him in a SOB holster yesterday.  So he obliged me and we took some quick pics on top of the Colt page in one of my catalogs.  Let me know what you guys think.  He says it used to be his least favorite pistol and now its one of his favorites.  I can't tell you how happy that made me.
