I want to get some magazines that will only used on the range , not for carry purposes.    Not cheap gunshow junk, but some mags that will work without breaking  the bank.  What about Metalform ?   These will be used for a Loaded Springfield Armory Government Model.

WC, metalforms, mecgars, novacks, factory SA/Kimbers work for me

Might want to add Chip McCormick, I use Power Mags and WD47D's because they run better, but Shooting Stars would do just fine for range work. I also use Novaks in my Sig 220, don't have any Novak 1911 mags, but they run great in my Sig.

I have a collection of Paras, Colts, CMCs, & Wilsons. If I had to do it over again I'd have fewer mags, all Wilsons.

Why would yo use different mags for the range than you'd use for carry? Seems like you'd want to make sure your carry mags work properly...unless the gun is strictly a range toy.

Wilson Combat.  The only way to go.  Range or carry.  I use the same mags.  You know they work.

Never had a 7 round USGI mag not function and at 8 to 10 bucks NIW hard to beat for a range mag. Now for comp and carry I use Wilson black 8 rounders w/ steel base pad and there 10 rounders for ltd-10.
