It's a little embarrassing, but I actually like the looks of the classic "pimped out" 1911s more than the new uber tactical pistols. I especially like a nice deep blued finish with ivory grips. I even like some of the chrome plated and bright nickel pistols, although gold is a little much.
I would love to see some pics of the 1911s that keep your pimp hand strong.

I may be a new owner of a Ithaca 1911 (43' US Army), Id hate to have to pimp it but we will see how the parkerizing looks when it gets here if I win the auction. Im feeling the bumper chrome.

I was waitin' for that one. Needs "pearl" grips to make it complete "pimp" though. Maybe I'm trashy, but I gotta say Ivories on a well blued 1911, is hardly "Pimp" in my book. That's classy....I guess it can be a fine line though. |

I so agree. Ivories on a blued 1911 is the epitomy of style and grace. Shizzle stainless or chrome, with bling grips, is what I consider PYMP.
