Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Disconector

Is the the disconector on the Springfield Armory G.I. a MIM part?  What is the difference (if any) between an actual steel "Factory replacement" disconector and one from say, C&S or any other quality manufacturer?  I'm just looking for a quality part (if needed) for added reliability and nice trigger pull.  Any info would be great.  Thanks.

We have the Wilson Combat ones in stock.  The tooled steel parts are often much stronger and reliable than MIM parts.  A lot of people have had problems with the MIM parts while others have had no problems.

This is the one that I already have on my wishlist and probably what I am going to get.  I was thinking this Ed Brown or a Wilson Combat "Factory Plus" one.  Thanks guys.
