I posted this pistol in the Team Forum in a bowling pin shooting thread. All the stuff was still on the clip board so I thought I would just paste it here too.
This pistol was 'state of the art' in the 80's.    This pistol was built for me by a local smith named Ron Dyer. It is built on a 70 series Gold Cup. Features: Fitted Kart Barrel Wilson Single Port Cone Comp Wichita Rear Sight Custom front sight Checker front strap and back strap. Squared and checkered trigger guard Relived frame Custom extended mag release with standard strength spring Wilson High Beaver Tail Wilson Match Trigger and Hammer Wilson internal guts Swensen Ambi Safety Hand checkered slide release Shadow line milled into the slide and comp Metaloy Hard Chrome Finish. This pistol was state of the art in its day and still will shoot 3" at 50 yards.  Denny Denny |

I've got one just like it, but it's in .38 Super and has a dual-port compensator.

There is a guy selling a real nice Heinie in .45. Saying it's nice is an understatement. Anyway, it's $3500, and it's not being advertised anywhere. IF your interested, IM me.

You know, the only things that look dated to me are the square triggerguard and huge mag release. Other than that I think it looks right at home here in 2006.
