Looking to add some magazines to my pair I have for a Colt Defender.

Thanks.

You're paying too much if your paying that much.

That's good to hear. I saw the prices on Wilson's site and assumed that was the general cost area.

I'm a heretic here, I know.  I got a few of the Tripp Research Cobra mags, and my failure to lock the slide problems went away.  Extra power wolff springs did the same thing for my Wilson mags, but the Tripp have worked better for me.

Wilson or Novak if you've got the money.  CMC's if you're willing to do some tinkering to make them work.  If you want to be cheap, get some actual USGI 7-round mags (not the Chinese copies that are often passed off as USGI).

Wilson 47OX, or 47OXC. 7 rounds. Look on the EE, if no luck, try ebay.... you'll find them either place if you give it a week or so.

47D's aren't the answer here, at least for the mag in the gun. Those are for full sized 1911's. They'll work fine in the Defender (a compact) but will stick out of the grip, making them better suited for reload/back up mags. The Wilsson Combat 47 OX and 47 OXC are the compact sized version and would be a good choice.
