Looking at a used Colt Government fullsize 1911. Looks in good condition for about $750. What say you?

Is it an XSE, MKIV Series 80, 1991 ORM, 1991 NRM, new manufacture Series 70, etc?  That might be a good price, it might be high.  Unless it's a Series 70 or XSE, it sounds a bit high for a used 1911.

+1

I saw a used Colt 1911 Series 80 for $550 at a local gun store and it looked to be one of those 75% condition guns.  It was hard to justify looking any further at it because a brand spanking new Springfield GI was sitting on the next shelf marked at $500.  Only difference was the Colt was full length versus the commander length Springfield.

I didn't pay attention to the series. It was stainless.
